If there is one thing I have learned over the years, it is that healing is rarely about finding something outside ourselves. More often, it is about remembering what has always been there.
That realization did not come all at once. It emerged over decades of study, clinical practice, personal struggle, and the extraordinary privilege of learning from remarkable teachers whose wisdom continues to shape both my life and my work.
I am the author of Walking with Masters: A Journey Home, a memoir that traces that journey through three traditions that profoundly influenced me: the effortless action of Tai Chi with Master Wonchull Park, the compassionate presence of the John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release Approach®, and the devotional path of Krishna Das. Although each teacher came from a different culture and discipline, they all pointed toward the same truth—that healing cannot be forced. It unfolds when we learn to meet ourselves, and one another, with awareness, presence, and love.
Professionally, I serve as the Director of Bodywork at Mind Body Soul Wellness Center in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, where I integrate more than two decades of experience in rehabilitation and therapeutic bodywork. Before becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist, I spent over fifteen years as a Physical Therapist Assistant, helping people recover from injury, reduce pain, and rediscover movement. Today, my work draws from the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach®, therapeutic massage, craniosacral therapy, orthopedic manual therapies, and mindful movement, always guided by the belief that no two people—and therefore no two healing journeys—are exactly alike.
Alongside my clinical work, I have devoted many years to the study and teaching of Tai Chi and Qigong through Wuwei Tai Chi School. What began as the pursuit of a martial art gradually became something much deeper: a daily practice of balance, relaxation-in-action, presence, and living with greater harmony. Those lessons continue to influence every treatment I provide and every class I teach.
Yet long before I was a therapist, an instructor, or an author, I was simply someone searching for meaning, peace, and answers to questions that many of us quietly carry:
Am I enough?
Can I truly be loved?
Can I learn to love myself?
The road has not always been easy, nor has it been straight. Like so many people I have the privilege of working with, I have known uncertainty, grief, self-doubt, and the desire to become someone other than who I was. It was through walking with my teachers—and through the countless lessons offered by clients, students, friends, and family—that I slowly began to understand that healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about coming home to who we have always been.
That understanding is the Heart of HeartMind Therapies.
Whether we meet in the treatment room, on the Tai Chi floor, through the pages of Walking with Masters, or somewhere along the way, my hope is not simply to share information. It is to create a space where wisdom becomes practice, practice becomes experience, and experience becomes a life lived with greater ease, compassion, and presence.
After all, I am still a student and I am still Walking.
I'm glad you came.
